Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and VM Tech, of British Columbia, Canada (“we”, “us”), for the use of Web AZ, including Web AZ Builder and the websites we host. By creating an account or using Web AZ, you agree to them. If you use Web AZ for a business, you confirm you are allowed to agree on its behalf.

1. The service

Web AZ lets you build, publish and host a website, either yourself (Basic and Pro plans) or with our team (Done for you). Features marked “coming soon” are not yet available and may change.

2. Your account

• Keep your password and two-step login device safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.
• Give us accurate contact and billing information and keep it up to date.

3. Plans and payment

• Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes. Daily prices (for example “69¢ a day”) describe the monthly price; you are billed monthly or yearly, as shown when you sign up.
• Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We don’t give partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires.
• Basic and Pro include hosting and one domain name while your plan is active: a .ca, or a .com if the name you want is available. Extra or premium domains are charged separately. The domain is registered in your business’s name and belongs to you.
• Jump start: a one-time $199 setup by our team, then a Basic or Pro plan.
• Switching: if you move from Basic or Pro to a done-for-you website, what you paid in your first 6 months counts toward the build fee.
• Done-for-you websites are not billed monthly: a one-time build fee (from $500 for a standard business website, or as quoted for advanced features or online stores), then $300 every two years for the domain and hosting.
• We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before changing the price of your plan.
• If a payment fails, we may pause your website editing, and after 30 days unpublish your website, until it is paid.

What happens if you cancel

• Basic or Pro: your website stays online until the end of the period you paid for, then goes offline.
• Done for you: your website stays online until the end of the two years you paid for.
• Your domain stays yours. We help you move it to another provider, or you can keep it with us.
• You can ask for a copy of your website files within 60 days.

4. Your content

You own your content: your text, photos, videos, logos and business details. You give us permission to store, copy, resize and publish it only as needed to run your website and Web AZ. You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload, including photos and music in videos.

When you leave, you can ask for a copy of your published website files within 60 days of cancelling.

5. What’s not allowed

You may not use Web AZ to:

• break any law, or sell illegal products or services;
• pretend to be another business or person, or collect passwords or payment details under false pretences;
• post content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
• post false reviews or misleading prices or claims;
• send spam, spread malware, or try to break into Web AZ or other systems.

We may remove content or suspend a website that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it. To report content on a Web AZ website, contact us.

6. AI co-worker (Pro plan)

The AI co-worker can make mistakes. It shows you each change before anything is published, and you are responsible for checking it. It only works on your own website and cannot change your billing, domain or security settings. Each plan includes a monthly usage allowance.

7. Storage and fair use

Each plan includes storage for photos and files, shown in your account. Uploaded videos are limited to short clips (currently 10 MB each); longer videos can be shown from YouTube, Vimeo or TikTok.

8. Other services

Web AZ can show or link to services run by other companies, such as booking providers, Google Maps, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Web AZ and your website available, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve or change features; if we remove a major feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance.

10. Limits of our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Web AZ is provided “as is”, and we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

11. Ending the agreement

You can cancel at any time in your account or by contacting us. We may end or suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or with 30 days’ notice for any other reason, in which case we refund any prepaid time you haven’t used.

12. General

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. We may update these terms; for important changes we will email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
